Every evening students at The Nerdrum School draw and paint with the master Odd Nerdrum. Drawing from life is essential and using the Apelles Palette is part of the tradition of painters from the Greeks to the present. Here are a few pictures taken by Bork Nerdrum showing Caniglia and other students during the life drawing sessions.
Striking, illuminating, foreboding, offensive, haunting and always poignant, Caniglia's kitsch paintings wallow in the glory of expansiveness and timeless places. A successful painter, his work is in private collections around the world. He has contributed to both joint and solo fine art exhibitions at Museums and Galleries that include the Society of Illustrators (NY) , Allentown Museum, and the Joslyn Art Museum. Caniglia also gives art lectures at Museums, Universities, and Galleries.
